1999 Bada Mountain Ripe Pu'er
This tea takes its name literally, as it's made from ancient tea trees grown on Bada Mountain. the flavors are complex, with fruit and lichee flavors and the classic scotch-like smoothness of the best ripe Pu'ers. if you have always thought ripe Pu'ers were too simple, try this one. Sold by the ounce. Please inquire if you want to buy the whole cake.
Brewing tips: Pu'er can be brewed in a gaiwan or in a Yixing teapot. Preheat vessel and cups with near boiling water (85-95°C or 185-200°F). Add 5-8 grams of Pu'er and then add water. Pour this wash out immediately. Pu'er can get dirty (due to age) so you might want to rinse twice with really old Pu'er. Add more water, cover and infuse for 10-15 seconds, depending on taste. Pour tea into preheated cups and serve. Infusion can be repeated twenty or more times, increasing the infusion time as necessary.
This tea comes from Bana Tea Company. If you are interested in more Pu'ers, please visit them, and tell them we sent you!
