Happy Year of the Bunny!
Happy Year of the Bunny from 1001plateaus!
on January 29, 2011 from 11 am to 5 pm, 1001plateaus will be serving tea at the Pacific Asia Museum's Lunar New Year celebration. The event is free and there will be food, acrobatics, face-changing performances, and tea (what more do you want?)
Bana Tea Company will also be there serving amazing Pu'ers so please come by and say hello.
speaking of Bana Tea Company, we are thrilled to announce that we'll be selling two of their special Pu'er teas when we launch our new website (stay tuned). for those of you that are interested (or can't wait for the website), we'll be selling pieces of two tea cakes for $17.00/ounce (free shipping):
-- 2001 Original Aroma from the Wild. despite the funny name, this raw Pu'er is amazing. its honey/date flavors and sweet aftertaste will stay with you for a long time, and you can brew this tea over 30 rounds. these tea trees are surrounded by ancient camphor trees, and the co-mingling of the roots give the tea an incredible camphor/minty essence. it may not be enough to clear your sinuses but it's highly addicting.
-- 1999 Bada Mountain. this tea takes its name literally, as it's made from ancient tea trees grown on Bada Mountain. the flavors are complex, with fruit and lichee flavors and the classic scotch-like smoothness of the best fermented Pu'ers. if you have always thought ripe Pu'ers were too simple, try this one.
please friend us on facebook. We'll be giving away free stuff/special offers periodically!
happy new year!
