Treasure of the Five Mountains Menghai Raw Pu'er from 2012

Our Tea Master Vesper Chan selects tea from five famous mountains in the south of Yunnan and blends them according to their best properties. This tea is extremely herbal and thick, with wonderful plum flavors. It's available in 100g samples or you can buy the whole puck (400 g). Limited quantities available!

These Treasure of the Five Mountains teas taste amazing on their own, but something magical happens when you blend the North (Lincang) and South (Menghai) together after you've brewed each one separately. The key is that you brew each tea on its own for two rounds. Then combine the wet leaves into a single pot and brew together. The result is so outstanding we are offering a package where you can get 50g of each tea.

Brewing tips: Rinse 6 grams tea for a few seconds with water (85°C / 185°F), and discard the rinse, then add more water to brew, and after 5 to 10 seconds pour the tea into a separate cup to drink. By pouring off the tea you can reuse the leaves for subsequent rounds, by adding more water and gradually increasing the steeping time.
